So last time I had to bring THIS topic up, it was a lot more of a problem than it is now. Namely, there wasn't a chance of me being able to use them before. But now, I actually could if I wanted to, because I was freed from my whitelist.
So we gotta come to a decision about what we're going to do when doomsday hits. The way I see it, we have three options. We can either stay with Wikia, move to Tumblr like previously planned, or move to Discord, which is a new option that has opened up.

Tumblr
Discord
Now, I'm leaving this decision up to you guys, and I encourage you to list your own pros and cons, and I'll add any I missed to the lists. Don't take my opinions as the word of God.
Depending on what you guys choose though, I'm gonna move us at the end of the current RP part. That gives us roughly 100 replies worth of time; that's plenty to come up with a decision, and prepare for a move.
So y'all remember this thing? Who am I kidding? Of course you don't. It's been over a year and I never actually started it.
How about this thing? Oh wait that's even older. But hey at least it started!
*cough*
So anyway... Yeah, I'm proposing we do a little something with these sorts of ideas... As brought up on that first thread I linked, small startup roleplays usually die out if you don't have a good spot for them. I'd like to think that this wiki is really fertile ground, though. We've got lots of really friendly, really good roleplayers here who like each others' ideas and want to give them a go. We're also all here quite regularly, so...
Basically what I'm proposing is that we open up another forum board, and on it we put a few off-topic– or side roleplays. By no means would you be required to use the side roleplay board in order to be in the main roleplay, nor would you need to be in the main roleplay to be in a side roleplay. It would just be a nice little space on this wiki so you don't have to go to another entire wiki to roleplay something else with your friends here.
So what do you guys say? Should we give this new board a shot or just not?
Come one come all to chat! :D
(yes para even you. :P )
Party goes on til no one is left in chat :D
There's more detail now! And a whole other province! Yay!
Elemental teaching dreams.
You know the ones. An ancient Elemental comes into the present one's dreams and teaches them stuff. Yeah, those...
Those are causing some SERIOUS behind-the-scenes problems, because plain and simple, there is no logical way for that to work like it has. I gave a shoddy explanation to AYFFR about it a little while ago, but as I thought about it more, that just crumbled to pieces.
From now on, and retroactively, I'm asking you all to rework your Elemental teaching dreams. If you can, please cut them out entirely, and come up with other explanations for how that knowledge came about.
If you can't cut them out, see if you can rework them. One good example that I can think of, is how Toreador had Liam have symbolic dreams of the Earth, instead of having him be outright taught by another Earth Elemental.
Now, if these dreams are absolutely too integral to your character to get rid of, I do have one alternative, that you will have to discuss with me in chat.
We're gonna play a game! The rules are simple. You answer the "what if your character" question asked by the person above you, and ask a new "what if your character" question for the person below you! :D
Got it? Good. I'll start.
What if your character was the opposite Element? (ie Earth became Wind, or Life became Death)
So as many of you already know, I am currently working on remaking the height chart.
What many of you DON'T know is that I am remaking the height chart to include all main and secondary (but not minor) characters. This means people like June and Zoe are going to be included, along with Agatha and Adrear.
What I need YOUR help with is making a list of all of the characters that need to be on the secondary character height chart, along with their heights (in feet and inches)
Characters:
Summer's almost here, which means a lot of us will be out of school. Some of us already are, which is great. With the coming of summer, I'm going to make a few changes to how we're running the roleplay.
First and foremost, I'll be officially closing the applications for Non-Elementals. As I'm sure you've all noticed, we've got a bunch of roleplayers, and we really aren't hurting for more people to join. Also, the Non-Elementals, while they can add their own interesting dynamics to the story, detract from the main plot, which is the Elementals banding together on a journey to defeat the evil that is Aku Agatha.
The other main issue we've got is inactivity. Now I get it, everyone's been busy, what with exams, finals, other miscellaneous school work, and all that. However, that's not something we're going to have to deal with when summer hits, so I'm going to start actually cracking down on it again.
So this is how the inactivity system is going to run:
Some exceptions will apply. You will be notified privately if you are receiving an exception.
These changes will be effective (and partially retroactive) on June 1, 2017.
I'M A CRAZED LUNATIC AND I'M GONNA GO ON A SMALL TO MASSIVE EDIT SPREE AND I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT'S GONNA BE YET! PREPARE FOR THE SEA OF GREEN!
So I've been looking around the wiki and have become increasingly more convinced that we should be changing things up just a little bit. Specifically, I'm looking at the theme. Even more specifically, I'm looking at those small thin one pixel grey lines that are bordering a bunch of things on the rail and stuff like that. I'm thinking it should match the thicker yellow lines like the ones on the outside of all pages.
What do you all think? Should we do that, and do you have any other suggestions?
We have some SERIOUS cleanup we need to do around here.
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
BertH has been kind enough to get back to AYFFR and I on some of our questions about the upcoming Discussions feature. He's also offered to talk to the community on a "local forum thread" AKA here.
Before we start off this talk, make sure you do some reading on the topic so you all know exactly what you're talking about.
AYFFR has been using his own wiki to test out Discussions, and can report a few things on its functionality. Namely:
Some things I've noted from my reading:
So with that massive wall of points out of the way, let's have a little discussion about Discussions.
I will be over the next little while, fixing our problems with the outrageously long infoboxes. Updates will be posted.
As I browse through the pages, I notice something bad.
Very bad.
Very very bad.
We have no consistency.
So I plan to fix that.
Say hello to the Manual of Style (which isn't a thing yet). I'm going to be building up a comprehensive manual on how to build our articles here, and you guys can help! Just say what it is in the comments below that you want to see in the manual, and I'll see about adding it in.
When it's all said and done I'll notify you guys, and we'll start fixing our pages so that they all have the same format.
