Elemental Inheritance Template
Notes to follow when you are making your application
Element must be available
Name cannot be silly. A pun can be excused, but "Zoosmell Pooplord" just isn't going to fly.
Race must be applicable
Mind: Human, Sheep
No young children or elders
Must be between 18 and 50, give or take depending on race.
Sex and gender must be realistic
Keep to male/female for the sex, and generally accepted terms for the gender.
If you would like clarification on what is "generally accepted", speak to someone in chat.
A picture would be lovely for the appearance section, but is not mandatory. Description is king.
Personality must be in five traits.
List and then explain how each of the traits fit.
No synonyms. You can't get away with "nice, kind, friendly"
Two strengths and three flaws are MINIMUMS.
Add as many as are applicable, but please keep a general balance between the two.
Strengths should be skills, or something they have physical prowess in that is not guaranteed by their race.
Flaws should be a mix of physical weaknesses, mental weaknesses, social weaknesses, et cetera.
List family both alive and dead, out a couple generations.
You don't need to give a whole detailed family tree and history, but we should have some idea of their setup in life.
For the backstory, realism and research are mandatory.
If the character does not or cannot fit the lore of the story they will not be accepted under any circumstances.
In the Elemental Inheritance application...
You must include enough of a family tree to prove that the character is possibly related to the Element you seek.
You must provide an explanation as to why the Element would choose your character.
All Elements will be more likely to choose someone who is a part of the group rather than someone in another area. They want the plot to work out as much as we do.
Mind prefers hosts to be as young as possible.
Mages cannot become Elementals.
Keep in mind that this form is shorter, but you should be aiming to have a lot of solid and logical explanation in it.It's easy to make a character fit the bill, but making the bill fit a character takes some doing.
Hugh checked his locket. "Yep, definitely not getting snow on our heads before we get to the next stop... Which is a few hours away, again." He let out a sigh, before giving a glance around to look if everyone had gotten to their carriage already. He of course spotted Wisp first.
"Oh! Um, if you are cold I can let you borrow my vest, I mean, its not much and I uh.. Have not had a chance to clean it since I met you guys... But um, if it helps a little I'll gladly let you borrow it." Fionn says to Mira, a bit ashamed as he explains himself but willing to help out none the less.
Xil sits back down, he takes off his right knee pad and starts polishing it with the side of his hand.
"We have fur for a reason, guys," Mira said, intentionally puffing hers out a bit. "Besides, I can change clothes at no cost to you guys by entering the ring. I will admit though, these clothes feel... Kind of old. It's like I'm wearing a perfectly preserved antique."
June shifted her belongings slightly to make sure Mango would have enough room to sit down. She continued knitting. She wanted to get this hat done for Sarah before the next snow hit.
Fionn would look at Mira slightly embarrased for a moment, "Right.." he answers to Mira.
"Well, um, I think you look good, and um, well, if you ever need so I can patch up clothes, I mean, I'm not great at it, I can't make them look as nice as they were but I do what I can.." He adds in a friendly manner.
"What I meant is that... Remember that time you paid half of the repairs for my vest, Mira?" the rabbit asked, before turning to Fionn. "So we were in a tailor shop in Hideston..." He started to tell, smiling at the wolf.
Mango soon got into the carriage, sitting in the spot as his feathers ruffled up for a second, before calming down back into its normal state. "Ahhh... thanks. I can't really fly or walk so much farther with what's all happening, so it means a lot." He said, before yawning and laying back a bit.
Zoe steps up into the carriage. "Well, luv, someone had to take the place of the flamingo you kicked out," she states. She looks around at the other occupants of the carriage. "Quite roomy in here compared to my previous carriage."
"Why would you do that? The guy's a freaking stowaway, we have no reason why we should let him travel with us and I kicked him out because he refused to sit down and had his stupid pink fethers in my face. Anyway don't you have to look after your sister or something?" Xil asks.
Zoe ignores Raole's statement. "He's not a stowaway, luv, we invited him into the group because I doubt he would've left us alone otherwise," Zoe states, "and I have June looking after her for the time being. She's absorbed in watching her knit."
"Yeaah well, even if you invited him that doesn't mean I should just sit and do nothing when the jerk has his stupid feathers on my face and refuses to sit." Xil answers. He puts down his right kneepad and takes off the other and starts polishing it as well.
"... And so Mira paid half of the price needed for the repairs of my vest!" Hugh vastly explained the events in Hideston with one last chuckle, dusting off both his sleeves. "I don't think I've ever repaid you the ten gold coins since then, Mira..." He said softly, turning to her.
"Don't worry about it. While we're traveling as a group, I'd say everyone shares for what everyone needs. Besides, those were coins from Sub," Mira replied.
June kept on knitting, but made sure that she kept a close eye on Mango. She wasn't familiar with this bird in the slightest, and while she wasn't familiar with most of the group, he had been kicked out of one carriage already. She didn't want him doing whatever he did last time, especially with Sarah on board.
Fionn would stare at Hugh's vest thoughtfully for a moment. "Say, um, how do you guys travel and get money? Do you do some kind of job or something? I mean, its just that I was thinking of seeing if I could find some jobs to do once we get to Harknest, I um, I kinda ran out of money back at the inn.. But if I could do whatever you guys do then I'd have my own money and help out with it and perhaps buy new clothes.." he says, muttering the last part to himself.
Hugh chuckled and turned to Fionn again. "That's the amazing thing, Sub had created these coins out of thin air when we got to Hideston, but I just don't know if he did that recently..." the rabbit added, thoughtfully. He marked a brief pause and then spoke again. "And I don't think we can get a job to settle in for now, Fionn, I am afraid. As I told you, we might have met dark forces already in Hideston, and none of us is actually ready to fight against Darkness..."
Mango shrugged a bit as he heard this. "I had a carriage going to Port Eerly, but I kinda crashed it nearby the last guard post... it would've taken a lot of time to fly really, and I heard from that one cat-woman that there was always storms over the sea, so I didn't wanna take chances. I was already feeling tired running to try and catch up with these carriages, so yeah... I need to rest." He said, before doing a rather odd yawn. It was a mix between a normal yawn and a flamingo squawk, so it may sound obnoxious. Then, he simply laid his body back, his head buried back into his body.
"Oh.. Right.. Um, I just don't want to inconvience you guys because I don't have money.. I guess i do know a few ways to get some money quickly.... But uh.. N-nevermind.." He says lowering his head in shame.
Xil would seem considerably more calm than before. "Oh. Well, uh.. If it turns out he's annoying your sister or something I could help you kick his butt if you want, I mean, cause that'd be fun for me, not that I really care." He says to her in a bit of a friendly manner.
"Thanks for the offer, luv, I'll take it into consideration," she answers, smiling. She sits down in one of the seats and looks at the other occupants. "Ello luvs," she states.
"Uhh huh," Dark says in reply to his statement. His reaction to the annoying yawn was that of minor annoyance. He turns back to Momo. "So, that card?"
Sarah, after hearing the yawn, would look past June at the flamingo who sat next to her. (Basically what I'm saying is June is in the middle of Mango and Sarah) "I think he's sleeping," she says to June in a quiet voice.
Hugh emptied his pockets to the wolf and giggled. "Haha, I don't have anything on me either, you know! It's all okay, don't worry about it. We could help people around and see if they offer us some money, but that's not even sure..." He said softly, patting the wolf's shoulder and smiling to him.
"We've got lots of food and water right now, and a whole lot of people. Everyone knows something useful, so I don't think we really have to worry about anything," Mira said. Her fur had settled back down now.
"I think so too," June whispered back. "So we should all be very quiet so we don't wake him."
Hugh shrugged and made his fur stand a little more, feeling how cozy it was getting under his shirt. "Mhmm... And we'll always stay together, which means you have nothing to fear about, Fionn." The rabbit nodded, agreeing with Mira's statement.
Mira looked outside. "Well, at least for the winter. This adventure may be fun, but I do have a farm to take care of, you know."
June Was nearing the top of the hat. She had only a few more rows left to go. The small hat was going quicker than she was used to projects going. Perhaps since she was used to much larger projects with less solid chunks of time.
Mango meanwhile seemed to have smiled for a moment when he heard them being considerate, and soon enough he was most likely asleep. He was just breathing in and out slowly... every once in a while ending up snoring with a squawk, not too loud however.
Hugh counted on his fingers how many weeks were separating him from the end of the carrot season, which was supposed to be right at the same time his family would harvest the beans they were cultivating. "Ah, so that makes it twenty weeks still..." He said to himself, thinking about his mother for the rest of the travel.
The sun hanged high in the sky as the carriages rolled into the village of Zeeb. They would travel for a few minutes down the main road before stopping in the square. Each carriage driver got off of their horses, and walked around to the doors of the carriage. They would knock, announce that they were now in Zeeb and that they would be staying there until morning, and then leave as a group to the tavern.
Mira had fallen asleep by this time. June was just finishing putting the pompom on the top of Sarah's hat.
(P.S. Everyone would be back in the old carriage order since carriage 5 would be operational)
Zoe looked up from her book as their carriage was knocked on. Next to her, Sarah had fallen asleep, and across from her Dark had done the same, his head leaning on the wall this time and not Momo. She'd gently start to wake Sarah up.
Mango slowly woke up as he heard this, yawning with a loud squawk before slowly getting up from his seat. He slowly proceeded to speak in the carriage. "Alright lads... I think I'll be leaving the group after Fael... then I'll be heading to Port Eerly." He said, before hopping out of the carriage and looking around slowly.
Hugh, who had been woken up by the light knock on their carriage door, opened his eyes as he heard Fionn was awake as well. He looked down and saw Scarlet curled up on his lap, and smiled even wider. He had tried to be alert for the rest of the trip, and didn't even notice he had been sleeping with the wolf on his legs. He turned to Mira, saw she was asleep, and turned to Fionn again. "I'll see what I can do~" He murmured.
The rabbit then turned close to her face and blew soft and warm air onto her cheeks, whispering. "Wake up, Mira, wake up, Mira... Waaaaaaake uuuuuup~!" It was the way he would wake up some of his brothers and sisters, and it basically had two different ways to be reacted to: Either a groan and a shift in position, vain attempt to go back to sleep; or a surprising look from the most sensible ones that couldn't handle feeling their nose or whiskers being blown into.
Hugh got gently slapped on the nose and laughed out loud, rubbing it immediately after. "She'll be fine I think." He giggled and looked at Fionn with a joyful smile. This had reminded Hugh of his oldest sister, that had this kind of reaction too.
Sarah slowly starts to wake up. "Huh? Ar... are we there yet?" Sarah asks, something she had been repeatedly asking Zoe over the course of the trip while she was awake.
Zoe nods. She then turns to Dark sitting across from her. She stands and walks over to him, grabbing his nose and holding it closed in an attempt to awaken him. Unfortunately, Zoe had done this numerous times when Dark was younger, and he had learned to breathe through his mouth if his nose couldn't be breathed through. Zoe sighs in disappointment, then gently wakes him up as well.
Sarah turns to June. "You're done!" she says in quiet excitement.
Upon having the weight of Scarlet put on her lap, Mira's eyes actually opened. She looked down at the wolf, and her fur instantly puffed up. She calmed herself shortly after and looked around the carriage.
"Yes I am," June said with a smile, holding the hat out to the young girl.
Hugh looked at Mira's face, then at Scarlet, and let out a chuckle. He couldn't help it, and threw a playful "Good luck, Mira!" to the cat anthro before hopping off the carriage, and follow Fionn. "So, where are we?" he asked the wolf, rubbing his still tired eyes and so walking forward without looking.
Hugh had already started chuckling as Fionn asked him about it, then started to giggle uncontrollably as soon as he heard Mira complain about it. "Starlet is on her lap, and we both jumped off the carriage before she could-" The rabbit got interrupted by the beast wolf running and reaching behind Fionn, sitting next to him. "Oh. Well, I guess she's alright now." He concluded, shrugging while smiling widely.
The carriages were stopped in the village square. The shops along the edge of the square were a tavern, a grocery, a barber's shop, a butcher's, a hunting store, and an unlabeled building, presumably residences.
Mira exited the carriage shortly after Scarlet had gotten off of her lap. She waved at Hugh and Fionn, but walked towards Xil.
June shared Zoe's chuckle. "Children are often thankful. They just don't know how to properly show it yet. Her making use of it is better than any 'thank you' could ever be."
Hugh looked around and saw Xil again, which caused his nostrils to show for a split second, before he turned to the wolf. "Who are you talking about, Mira or Scarlet? Because I'm sure Mira found that funny too." He added with yet another giggle.
"Heh, I bet," Zoe says. "I've been trying to teach her about thanking people though," she adds, then hits Dark's arm with her book as he had appeared to have fallen back asleep, to which he replied with "Alright alright!" and quickly exiting the carriage. "But oh well," she finishes.
Sarah played around, only noticing the approaching bear anthro when they had gotten close. "Elllllloooooo!" she says in greeting to the bear.
"I'd love to, luv," Zoe says, following June out of the carriage. She'd look around for Sarah. Spotting her, she notices that she seemed to be playing with a bear anthro. "One moment," she says to June, taking a detour over to Mira and Xil. "Oi luvs, would you mind watching Sarah for me? Just make sure she doesn't get into any trouble or anything, okay? Thanks!" she says to the two then leaving before either could answer.
Dark had headed toward the barbershop that was in the town's square. He entered the building.
Sarah cocks her head. "Stranger? I don't think so... are you?" she asks.
Natalie enters the room.
The room was a guest bedroom in Anderson Manor that the Monk had taken residence in for the time being. Seeing that her teacher was meditating, she was silent, closing the door and then standing there, waiting.
Xil looks at Mira and smiles waving at her. As they are suddenly interrupted by Zoe he frowns rather noticably and as she asks for them to care for Sarah he'd seem rather surprised. "H-Hey!!" He yells out at Zoe as she walks away.
Zoe waves to the two as her walk turns into a small jog toward June. "Alright, let's go," she says to June, starting to walk in a random direction away from Xil and Mira.
(Zoe is the ultimate troll)
Sarah seemed to be in deep thought for a few seconds. "Sure! I'm Sarah Acker, what's your name?" she asks the bear with a big smile.
"Of course," Natalie replies. She moves a few of the pots and sits on the floor in a criss cross apple sauce sitting position in front of the Monk. She again waits for her teacher to say something before she speaks.
(The closest Liam will find is a farmer's forge, mostly used to shoe horses or make hinges.)
Mira sighed, then looked at Sarah. "I guess I have no choice," she said. "I won't blame you if you want to wait until later to talk to me."
"I am Baduhn," the bear said. "Sarah is a nice name. It means 'sunrise' in... Atmonian." He had to think for a while on which language it was. He knew a lot of languages.
Inside the barber shop were three people. The barber, the customer he was currently working on, and an older woman. The older woman was a sheep anthro, and would likely take a long time to shear. "Welcome!" the barber said, nodding at Dark. "Take a seat and I'll trim you as soon as I can."
"Not talkative, huh?" the monk asked, stretching as though she had just woken up. "Well, you're gonna have to open up, because I'm going to need you to describe to me how you do things so I can help you."
Xil puts his hand on his neck as he awkwardly starts explaining to Mira "Look kitten, I ain't exactly the best to look after cubs or whatever, I mean, what am I s'posed to do, teach her how to gut a fish or set up traps?" He awkwardly pauses for a moment and sighs "But uh, I don't really have anythin' else to do so, I guess I'll stick around, kinda like a body guard or somethin', just don't expect me to do much about uh.. Sarah, Okay?" He says to Mira as he turns towards Sarah.
Hugh gave a second glance at the tiger walking with Mira, both moving to Sarah. He paused to look over Fionn's shoulder again and sighed at him. "You know what? I think I had a nap long enough for me to keep going with you!" He stared down into his from an inch higher, and gave him the warmest of smiles.
"As I said to Raole, I hate perturbing my sleep schedule, anyway." He added, stepping closer to Fionn and looking on the side to search for a way to go.
"That's okay," Mira said. "I think we can just keep an eye on her and make sure that bear child doesn't maul her or anything. Other than that, I really don't think she's used to much supervision, seeing as how Zoe pawns her off on people so much."
"It is a language," the bear child replied, "I like learning languages. Entherstian is my thirteen-th language."
"Ah, no time for that. Tell me all about how you found out about your powers, and how you use them."
"Ohhhhhh," Sarah says. "That's a lot of languages. I only know two languages, Entherstian and Swordsmen, though I am still learning how to speak Swordsmen." Sarah states. "Oh, and I can speak cat! Meow!"
"Well," Natalie states, "Mind I discovered last year, when I was fifteen. I started hearing voices in my head, voices that sounded like thoughts. And, well, let's just say it hurt. I basically ran out of there and back home, where I told my parents what had happened. They told me that I was most likely a Mind Mage. Then I was brought before Lidia who confirmed this," she explains, "and my usage of my Element consists of searching through people's heads to see if they have any ill intent or not. I've basically been the gatekeeper whenever I'm here."
Hugh scratched is chin with a light smile, an idea popping up in his mind. He loosely pointed at one of the streets coming out of the village square they were at, and murmured: "Mmmh, thinking about a little contest..." He didn't even talk louder as he asked the wolf next to him. "...Can you run?"
Hugh's gaze blinked even more happily than before. "How about a little race? It's fast and easy to discover the town~" He grinned at Fionn. "Oh, but yeah, you might not want to try, since we both know who'll win..." He teased the wolf, expecting to spark up in him some kind of competition spirit.
Baduhn giggled, then said a few words in traditional Feline.
"It's been going w-" Mira's ears perked up, and she looked at Xil. "Did you just hear what he said!?" she hissed, shocked.
"Hm. An interesting backstory," the monk said. "I'm Igros, by the way. I found my abilities pretty much the same way. I was a Monk though, so getting to Lidia was probably easier. But that's not really important. Why did you ask for me to tutor you?"
June peered into shop windows as she and Zoe wandered down the main street of the village. "So what's it like living like you?"
Mango meanwhile was just looking around the town of Zeeb, probably trying to see where all of the essential places are at, such as the inn and the blacksmith and such. He wasn't really with the others at the moment, just going off on his own for now.
Sarah's eyes went wide a bit. "Cool! What's that mean?"
Natalie looked down at the floor, then back up at Igros. "I've been getting headaches recently whenever I read someone's mind," Natalie explained. "And they're not normal headaches that are just minor annoyances, they're really bad headaches that interfere with whatever I am doing."
Zoe looked at June, then thought for a moment. "Pretty wild I'd say. I get to see lots of places as I'm usually not in one place for too long of a time due to my job. Sarah enjoys it as well," she says. "What about you, luv?"
Hugh kind of facepalmed and looked at Fionn, trying to not burst in laughing tears and smiled to him. "I guess you're right..." He said while choking on his own laughter, before sighing and looking at one of the most empty streets of Zeeb. "I wanted to challenge you to a race, Fionn." He admitted, kind of disappointed of the wolf's reaction.
There were these times where Hugh would feel so full of energy that he would do anything to not let it to waste, and this place seemed to do it for the rabbit. He looked around and felt the air pretty light and the wind was giving him the same sensation he had when he was in the plains. Indeed, the town wasn't really dense, unlike Macaria or Vile Root.
"What a charmer," Mira replied, giggling a little. "It just surprises me when little kids say that sort of thing. I didn't start to think like that until a couple years ago."
"Hm..." Igros thought for a moment. "Try reading my mind. I'll monitor what's going on in the Well, but won't interfere. That's the best way for me to tell what's going on."
"This is the most exciting thing to happen to me all year," June said, "and all we've done is ride in carriages. Being a part of the Coalition is really just a power play for those interested in being in charge of something. It's all politics, and that's just not the life for me."
Fionn would point his snout slightly downwards, clearly a bit flustered by Hugh's reaction "Oh, um, sorry, I'm not very used to doing things like that... We can still race if you like, even if we both know you're going to win." Fionn says to Hugh clearly missing the point of Hugh's challenge entirely.
"Uhh, I guess, I don't really tend to pay much attention to kids if im honest." Xil says to Mira trying to play it off as if he doesn't really care for them though if Mira played closed attention she could notice a hint of shame to those words.
Hugh put his paws on his hips and giggled playfully. "Awww, come oooon! I am sure you could be of a nice challenge for me, I'm sure you still played outside even when you were young, didn't you?" He asked, looking at him.
Igros kept two separate thought patterns going. One was a generic one intended for Natalie to read. She did simple math in this one. The other was the monitoring what was going on between the two of them.
"I suppose you're right. And... I should learn to let him live on his own," June agreed. "The problem is that if I quit, they'll hunt me down. As inept as most of them are, I wouldn't want fifty coalition members on my tail."
"Really? I've always liked paying attention to them. They're so cute," Mira replied.
Baduhn smiled. "It is a secret."
The barber finished with the customer he was trimming, and looked at Dark. "Alrighty, what can I do ya for?"
Max and Alexis exchanged a few words away from the rest of the group. After their short conversation, they approached Sub. "We're staying here in Zeeb. This journey's been fun, but we're both done with the excitement. Tell the rest of the group." They walked away silently into the streets of the village.
Firaas and Jack looked around as the group scattered through the streets. They decided to explore. They would not make it back to the carriages before they depart later.
In time, the Force Element would choose a new host. The events surrounding Max's death would go unknown to everyone but Alexis, who would hold only a small funeral for him.
After having read Igros' mind for a good few minutes, she starts to get a headache. It's tolerable at first, but slowly starts getting worse enough for her to have to break the connection. After breaking the connection she puts her hands to her head as one would when in pain. "Ahhh...." she mutters.
"Well, you could always join the Swordsmen, luv," Zoe suggests, turning her head toward June and smiling. "We could protect you from any inept mages coming your way."
"Whaaa??" Sarah says, "But I wanna know! Pleasssssse??"
"Uhm," Dark says, turning his head and looking at the sheep anthro, expecting her to say that she was next.
"Alright, take a break," Igros advised. "When you're ready, I'll tell you what you're doing that's hurting yourself."
"Are you joking? The Swordsmen would never let me in," June laughed.
"Okay. It means-" Baduhn spoke something in another language, then gave Sarah a very playful grin. His antics were cut short as he saw someone exit the tavern behind her. "Pada!" he yelled, and ran past her into the arms of the bear carriage driver.
"Honey, go ahead. You'll be quick compared to me," the sheep replied, smacking her lips with every other word.
Natalie nods, still holding her head. After a few minutes the headache becomes bearable and she looks up. "Alright," Natalie says.
"Oh yes they would," Zoe says. "You forget, luv, that you're friends with me. I could easily get you in."
Sarah turns and sees Baduhn rushing into another bear's arms. She watches. "Wait... hey!" Sarah says, realizing that Baduhn hadn't actually told her what it meant. She walked through the snow toward the two bears, though walking slowly to let the two have their moment.
"Oh, thanks," he says, standing up and looking at the barber. "I would like this cut off, please," Dark states, holding up the bangs that were in front of his eyes. "You can do anything else that'd make the loss of this look decent, I just want this gone."
Fionn looks at Hugh, looking down shortly after Hugh speaks. "W-well, if thats what you'd like, um, yes. L-lets race.." He says turning towards the town in a random direction, not really sure from where to where the race would be.
Xil would look at Mira "Well I just ne-" he suddenly stops and he turns his head quickly, looking towards Sarah "Uh, seems like she's goin' somewhere, should we follow her?" He says to Mira.
(See ya diddles, and hey, I know fionn didnt really get to talk to max that much but it still was fun to RP with you. (: )
"I feel you don't want to, so I guess we could have you as our arbitrator(?), like... You could walk in a random direction, preferrably near the town's outer limits, and Scarlet and I would first find where you are, and the first one to get to you would win?" He crossed his arms and smiled at the idea, trying to make the wolf feel useful and included into the game without needing him to really participate to the race.
Raole was about to take a walk to stretch his legs but before he could, he noticed Falaos looking around and decided to approach him. When he got close enough he asked the fox. "Hey Falaos, looking for someone?"
"Wait you're staying here? Bu-" And before he could ask why, they both left. Sub decided to go look for a place to stay.
After a few minutes of wandering around the village in the snow. Sub managed to find a tavern to stay in, he immediately went in to check out the place.
Fionn nods at Hugh. "Right, I can do that." He says as he turns around thinkinng on which direction to go to. After a few moments he'd quickly walk a bit past the tavern, Fionn turns back to Hugh and waves back at him.
Mira walked slowly, following Sarah. "At a distance, yeah, and be ready to jump in if anything happens." Her fur was standing up slightly as she eyed the bears.
The barber coughed into a handkerchief, and motioned Dark to sit in the chair in front of the mirror.
Igros breathed deeply, then spoke. "You are pushing to use your powers; you're trying too hard. Your focus is on reading my mind, rather than letting my thoughts speak to you. If you take such an aggressive approach to your powers, you will only ever tear your own mind apart."
She picked a flower off of one of the potted plants. "If I try to take in the essence of this flower by force..." she crushed it in her hand, and dropped it on the floor, leaving the flower mangled, and her hand covered in green, which she held up for Natalie to see. "I only end up leaving a scar on both of us. But the beauty of a flower is freely given, as are thoughts. If I just..." She leaned over to another flower, and breathed in deeply. "...enjoy the scent and beauty of the flower, I hurt nothing, but get the same meaning."
June laughed. "Could, but you probably wouldn't."
Baduhn smiled, nuzzling his father's shoulder before being put down. "Istoi Sarah," the small bear said, pointing at her. He said something else, but it was much too quick for Sarah to pick out.
Hugh then glanced at Scarlet, and smiled at her. He wasn't sure she would understand what he would say, but still spoke aloud. "Alright, five more minutes and then we shall rush-" He motioned her the way Fionn had gone with quick moves of his paw. "- to Fionn." He said.
He seemed confident, as he took out his locket from is side pocket, intending to give the start to both of them and then immediately going to look through the time and see where Fionn had been. The rabbit was sure Scarlet would use her anthro counterpart's smell to locate Fionn, so it wouldn't be cheating.
Mango suddenly squawked very loudly in the middle of the town, and he immediately covered his mouth. "Why did I let that out...?" He muttered to himself, before aheming, and searching for a blacksmith. He was probably going to ask for something there.
After actually ten more minutes, Hugh was now staring at the needles dancing on the dial of his watch, counting down from five to zero, with his fingers and aloud for Scarlet to hear, glancing at her in the middle of the countdown. "... three... two... one..." His gaze filled of glee and excitement as he reached the starting top, and flailed his arm down, switching his screen and losing no time to start looking at where Fionn went.
(Might need to know the location, and what path Fionn went to, Rak pls c: )
Reaching back in time to see where the wolf had been, Hugh smiled and found him in less than a second. He closed his locket, already late behind Scarlet, and started to run as fast as he could across the town's square. It would surely attract people's attention, but Hugh just couldn't hold himself from laughing out loud every time he would race against someone or something, and this time wouldn't be different from this kind of time.
Hugh had already gained some distance behind Scarlet, and then dashed through narrower streets, to avoid her keeping track of him while he was making the shortest way to Fionn. He was trying to hold on his laughter again, by holding his breath for a few meters.
"I came from outside Entherstia but if you want me to be more specific, I came from a small village called Idoma, just think of a village with old houses and structures made of stone. Its also a pretty isolated area." Raole says. "Definetly not a place where you would want to spent your vacations. There are prettier places out there."
Knowing where he was, Hugh kept on going, and quickly exited the narrow streets, looked at his right and saw Scarlet was there, running in his direction. He squeaked and turned to the left again, now going at a quicker pace, not far ahead of the wolf beast.
The barber picked up a comb and a pair of scissors, and began snipping away at Dark's hair, taking the bangs off first, and then working on the rest to even it out. In the end, Dark's hair would end up rather professional looking, but still long enough to deal with the coming winter.
"Absolutely," Igros replied. "Relax, and open your mind to the thoughts that are just waiting to swim to you. You'll get more than you're looking for, but with practice you can drown those out and just focus on what you want."
"Oh stop pulling my leg," June replied.
Baduhn's father crouched down next to his son. "Hello Sarah," he said, trying his best to show a friendly smile without too many teeth.
Mira relaxed with Xil's comfort, and when the bear was obviously giving up his power position by crouching. "I think everything will be alright," she said.
"Welcome to Aster's Arrows and Traps," The woman behind the hunting store's counter said with a smile. "You guys are from out of town, aren't you? Do you need repairs or something? I don't get many strangers in my shop."
"I see," Natalie says, a bit skeptical about how it worked. She had believed that forcing them out was the best way to go about things, but now she was being told otherwise. She'd have to see for herself. "May I, test that theory?"
"I'm bein serious, luv," Zoe says. "You'd make a smashing Swordsmen, I feel."
"Elllllllooooooo!" Sarah says in reply, smiling and showing most of her teeth.
"Seems like the muscle won't be needed for now huh?" Xil says playfully winking at Mira as he flexes his arms. He continues to cross his arms before speaking again, "Besides, thats one of the guys we're payin' to take us to Harknest, I doubt they'd want to harm us... Purposely." He says throwing a short glance at the fifth carriage that has some rather sturdy yet clearly makeshift repairs.
(I was expecting like a very intense run, Skai :O like... a wolf not knowing where another wolf is, after spending days and days with him... Also she could have kept running after Hugh, he's right in front of her.)
"Apologies for his reply," Momo said, raising her hand a little to catch the attention of the woman. "We just came here after a few travels, and we were wondering what the store might offer for our future plans and expeditions," she continued with a smile.
Yumo nodded at his sister's statement, his arms crossed.

At only a few blocks from there, Hugh was jumping as far and fast as he could, glad he could compete with the speed of a real wolf, and not really paying attention at all the shops and people he would pass in front of.
"You don't say?" Raole said with a mischievious tone in his voice before speaking up. "Hey look we are here. The hunting store, come on Falaos maybe we could even get something for you." He said as he entered.
"Oh hello." Raole speaks to the woman before asking. "Same caravan?" Thats when he notices Momo, Yumo and Red. "Hey." He said as he looked to Yumo. "You are that boy that was in same carriage as me and flamingo man."
June simply stared at Zoe for a moment, but eventually managed to gather her words. "I've... Never had someone offer to help me like this before."
"I like playing-" Baduhn paused for a moment, thinking of the words in Entherstian. "Run-Catch."
Aster chuckled, and walked around the counter out onto the showfloor. She realized, after stepping on the level with and getting a good look at her customers, that some of them were quite young. "Erm... I can't sell to minors without their parents present, sorry. But I can help you, sirs," she said, turning to Falaos and Raole.
Natalie walked down the hall but stopped at the railing looking down to the main entrance of the manor. There stood Amara, the Anderson's maid, at the door. She appeared to be conversing with someone.
"I'm sorry, but Ms Natalie is currently meeting with someone. You'll have to come back later," Amara says.
"Well, could you tell her I stopped by? I have my final Swordsmen tests coming up and I want get some training in with her before hand," the other person says.
"Of course, Ms Harss," Amara says.
"Alicia! Charles wants you to help him make lunch!" a child calls from the Anderson Manor's front gate.
"Ugh, be right there, Connor!" Alicia calls to the young seven year old Connor Harss. She turns back to Amara, "Thank you, I gotta go."
"Goodbye, Ms Harss," Amara says.
"Goodbye, Amara. Don't forget to tell Nat I was here," Alicia says as she walks down the steps and toward the gate.
"Hmmph, I never forget," Amara mumbles to herself before closing the door.
(We interrupt this program to bring you cameos from young Alicia and young Dark)
"Aight, luv," Zoe says. "When I first joined I didn't think about it too much beforehand. Though, I guess in my situation there was only one right answer."
Hugh finally got in sight of the wolf, and squeaked in joy and relief from the distance. At that moment, the only thing left for him to go through was a group of people crossing the street, and Hugh seemed to see the time slow down for him to be able to take the long way around them. Darting on the left, he was able to see Fionn and Hugh waved at him, still running at full speed despite some voice coming from his back and calling after the rabbit.
Eventually, Natalie and Igros arrived at the spot Natalie had mentioned. Igros sat down, and invited her student to sit with her.
"Absolutely," June replied, opening the door. Upon opening it, she stopped abruptly. Inside were three knights talking to the owner of the shop.
"Blue wreath means 'do not disturb,' huh?" one of the knights said after a while of silence.
"These people aren't from in town, obviously," the owner stammered.
"What it is called does not matter. Let us play!" Baduhn touched Sarah on the shoulder, and then ran away from her.
(So whenever y'all want to timeskip back to loading the carriages, or to rolling up to Harknest, let me know. When everyone's ready to head out, we can get that done instead of just spending a lot of time bored in Zeeb.)
"Perfect. So what I would like you to do is sit still and in an open stance, and meditate... Or simply rest. But you must let your mental walls down. That will perhaps be the hardest part for someone so built up as yourself."
"Someone was killed. Now leave," the tallest of the knights said. One of the shorter two hit him in the arm in a 'who said you could talk' manner.
"There ya go. That'll be two silver," the barber said, brushing some of the hair cuttings off of Dark's shoulders.
'Good. You are in the right state of mind then. However, you still have some barriers up. I won't try to get you to lower them quite yet, but know that the more open you can become, the less painful it will be to use your powers,' Irgos explained. 'I can hear the people down in Harknest right now. Can you?'
Fionn would happily wave back at Hugh, his tail wagging rapidly as he does.
Xil lets his key go lowering his hands as he looks around for a moment. "So uh, hey I think I'm gonna go get something to drink, you want me to bring ya something to eat or drink while I'm at it?" He asks.
As Hugh was ending his run to Fionn, another rabbit anthro was following him, waving as well. He seemed much smaller, quite thinner, but clearly was as jovial as Hugh. "Hey *Huff* Fionn!" The Time Elemental said, catching his breath a bit.
Xil turns to Dark clearly pissed off getting his face uncomfortably close to Dark's. "Call me 'kitty' one more time and I'm gonna fucking rip out your tounge and make you choke on it, got it?" He says quietly enough for only Dark to hear.
"You think that's gonna stop me? You must be really stupid if you think you can come and mock me like that and get away with it so, if you don't learn to watch the bullshit that comes out of your mouth I'm gonna fucking give you a permanent lesson on shutting the fuck up." Xil says back to him, starting to show his teeth menacingly to Dark.
(Ok so Xil is kinda getting a bit too badmouthed here and im just wondering if its not too much and/or too inappropiate, should i just leave it as it is or should i somehow censor the bad words?)
"Oh, feistier," Dark says. His powers activate, weakening Xil slightly. His eyes also change to red due to this activation. "You should really lighten up. World is a lot better of a place when you don't take everything so seriously."
Xil would pull back a little as Dark's eyes change to red, clearly somewhat surprised. He quickly composes himself. "And you should really stop testing my patience. 'World is a lot better' for you if im not gutting you like a fish. And just so you see how awesome I am, I'll be nice enough to let ya know there's something wrong with your eyes so, why don't you fucking skip away to go ask a doctor what is it you're gonna die of?"
"So you are just crazy. Got it. Remind me not to take you to any royal events," June laughed. It was clear she didn't want to make too big of a deal of this, but she also didn't agree with what Zoe had done.
Mira yawned, and walked over to a bench to sit down on. She absentmindedly began summoning and unsummoning the snowball from earlier while reflecting on the past few weeks.
"Well they a-Huh?" Xil stops mid sentence as he notices Dark's eyes having returned to normal. "They were all red, they're back to blue now. In any case whatever that was, I hope its deadly." He says shooting a sharp glare at Dark which gets quickly interrupted by the bar tender delivering the drinks. Xil pays forth for his order, "hey I'm gonna go drink these outside, if I dont bring back the glasses feel free to charge me extra for a room later." He says as he grabs the drinks and heads to the door, standing in front of it for a moment as he tries to figure out how to open it without spilling either of the drinks on his hands.
Hugh raised an eyebrow and turned around to see another rabbit anthro run to them, and not even wait for a greeting to start talking. "Oi hey there! This not that often than I get to see rabbit from the West plains, nice to meet you!" He shook hands with both Hugh and Fionn, and nodded happily. "What's bringing you so far from home, carrot boy?" He asked, while Hugh's face turned red. "I... uuuh..."
Dark watches Xil walk away as the bar tender brings his drink. He grabs the wine and stands, "Thanks. Make a tab for me. Harss," he tells the bar tender before walking toward the door. "Need some help there, tiger?" he says to Xil, seeing that he's having troubles with the door.
"Will do, luv," Zoe says, laughing as well. "But I really generally was curious about that murder."
Sub would go to the room he booked and simply throw himself on the bed just to relax for a bit. He took out the map he has to see where he was, though he doesn't exactly know where he is, the landmarks gave him a bit of a general spot, he let out an annoyed sigh when he saw remaining distance it takes to get to Harknest and proceeds to mumble a thoughtful statement "Fuck the snow"
Fionn looks at Hugh for a moment. "Um, excuse me, we are just passing through on our way to Harknest." He says to the rabbit as Hugh seems to be having some trouble.
"From you? No." Xil says proudly as he proceeds to fail to try to open the door by wrapping his tail around the knob for at least a whole 3 mintues. After a moment he stands back clearly defeated by the door simply looking away from dark and mumbling very quietly to himself.
(Note, he wouldnt have good enough control of his tail to go grabbing stuff with it and since its all fluffy there's hardly any friction so, FAIL.)
Dark had simply been standing there tapping his metal leg on the ground for most of the three minutes Xil took to give up. He also had time to grab a second drink, having drunken most of the first one during Xil's attempts and deciding to finish it off and get another before Xil gave up. "Allow me," Dark says, smirking at Xil and opening the door, holding it open for the tiger.
"Whatever.." Xil says as he walks outside and walks towards Mira entirely ignoring if Dark followed or not. "Hey, I got this for you, hope its good." He says as he offers the Melon Sparkler drink to Mira.
"Heh, no problem." Xil says, ignoring Dark too as he stands on the other side next to Mira, taking a chug of his own beverage. "So, I suppose nothing interesting happened while I was away right? Kid didn't get mauled or kidnapped or whatever?" He says jokingly to Mira.
Mira giggled. "Nothing like that. She's just been running around with the bear over there. The carriage driver had to help her out of a tree once though." She took a sip of her drink. "This is really good!"
"Harknest!" The rabbit said excitedly. "I've been here before! Had to sell a whole plenty of carrots to the city, was scared for a while because there are some odd cats around in here, hard to deal with them when you want the price, and they want it low, but you know-"
Hugh had to pause this unstoppable train of speech by lifting his paw, and chuckle at the rabbit. "H... Haha, so... Who are you, and why are you telling us all this?" He asked softly. "Oh! My excuses, name's been Arno Longeers, I've living in this city for a nice couple years because we had to expand our groceries business with my family, I'm sorry to bother, I just want to know how's been the things in the plains recently..."
Hugh smiled and presented himself: "I'm Hugh Brown, nice to meet you-"
"BROWN!" Arno's voice rose as high as his ears would reach when they sprung up. "From the Brown family? Here in Zeeb??" He bowed slightly and shook paws with Hugh again. "It is a real surprise to see a Brown here! Not that it's a bad thing..." He continued, while Hugh seemed really embarrassed with the compliment, though not really annoyed at all. "T-There's nothing special to that, really..." Hugh tried to explain, while Arno looked at Fionn. "Have you ever heard about the Brown family, wolf man?"
"Oh, um, pardon me but im afraid I have not, I um.. I don't really even know what or where the planes are.. The only places I've ever been on are Hideston and Fael..." Fionn says rather shyly to the rabbit.
"Glad you like it." Xil says, entirely ignoring Dark but giving Mira the chance to talk to him if she wants to.
Mira nodded once at Dark, then looked back up at Xil. "You know, it's good, but I probably shouldn't really be drinking anything alcoholic. Even just a little bit is enough to get me drunk." Regardless of what she had just said, the cat took another sip.
"Ah, well, sometimes when I can't get a cup of tea I'll opt for a pipe instead," June admitted.
(For the record: Cigarettes, especially as we know them today, do not exist. Smoking is done in a pipe with pure tobacco and/or mixtures of herbs.)
"Usually, two or three glasses of wine will do it for me," Dark says. He realized he was basically third wheeling at this point but he had some questions for Mira so he stuck around anyway. "This is my second, so we'll see what happens," he then finishes and with that, he takes another sip.
"Ah," Zoe says. "I think I understand why you brought it up then, luv."
"Oh yeah, you're come from the East, feeling it. No wonder you never got to visit the plains, though Hideston is pretty darn close..." Arno said, immediately interrupted by Hugh. "I know, It's the first town I've gone to, I didn't even go to Dust Alley on my way there..." He said calmly, hoping neither Fionn or the other rabbit wouldn't bring the subject of his family. "I did!" already said Arno.
"S-should we wait here or should we go look for her?" Fionn asks to Hugh, clearly worried about his beast wolf friend.
Xil would seem somewhat annoyed. "I think I need another drink." He says, his glass would clearly be a bit more than half way full but before anyone gets a chance to point it out he'd chug the whole thing as fast as he can, taking a big breath as he finishes. "Uh.. I'll be back in a moment." He adds before walking off back to the tavern.
Hugh took no time to think and nodded at Fionn, before turning to Arno. "I'm afraid but we must immediately go and find a friend of ours, it was nice meeting you, Sir Longeers. Hope your family goes well." He said under his own breath, to which the other rabbit replied cheerfully: "No problem! Regards to your father, Mister Brown!" He said, Hugh's face turning blank as he pulled Fionn away, visibly upset, and left the greengrocer where he was standing.
